Do you have an interest in representing your community? Burlington City Council has a vacancy for the Councilmember position in Ward 6. 

If you are a registered voter of the City of Burlington; are and have been a resident of Ward 6 for a minimum of one year, and would like to be considered for the position, please complete a Questionnaire/Application and submit a Cover Letter & Resume. The interim term expires December 31, 2027. In accordance with State law and City code, the City Council will fill this vacancy by appointment. 

Questionnaire/Application packets are due Monday, April 27, 2026 by 5:00 PM. 

Interviews for the opening will be held in the evening at City Hall either during a Special City Council meeting on Thursday, May 7, 2026, or at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Thursday, May 14, 2026 (depending on number of applications received).
