Parks, Recreation & Open Space (PROS) Plan
Planning today for the parks and programs of tomorrow.
We're updating our Parks & Recreation master plan - also known as the Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Plan which is a long-term roadmap that will guide how we invest in parks, trails, open spaces, and recreation services in Burlington over the next 6 to 20 years. This important project helps ensure our parks system continues to meet the needs of a growing, changing community. Another important feature of an up-to-date PROS Plan is that it ensures our eligibility for a variety of grants offered by Washington State's Recreation and Conservation Office.
The updated plan will be shaped by data, trends, and, most importantly, community input. Whether you're passionate about sports fields, playgrounds, natural areas, or recreation programs, your voice will help define the future of Burlington's parks system and recreational offerings.
On this page, you’ll find information about key milestones and community engagement opportunities. We invite you to follow along and help us build a shared vision for the next generation of parks and recreation in our municipality.
Open Houses & Survey
We know your time is valuable, and that's exactly why your input matters. How do Burlington's parks and programs fit into your life? How could they serve you better? Whether you use them daily or rarely, your experience and ideas help shape decisions that affect everyone in the community.
Open Houses
Two Open Houses will be hosted this fall and they’re your chance to hear what we’ve learned so far and to weigh in about what comes next.
