First Responder Breakfast

Sponsored by American Legion Memorial Post 91 is the first annual First Responder Breakfast happening on September 11 at the Burlington Senior/Community Center. Breakfast will be served from 8am to 11am, open to the community. First Responders eat for free, and all others by donation. Thank you First Responders for your service!
DSLR 1 and 2 Photography Classes
Classes throughout Fall, Begin September 15
Want to take your photography skills to the next level? Try out one of Andy Porter's DSLR Photography Classes that are starting up again this fall. There are DSLR Level 1 and 2 Classes available. Classes begin on September 15 and are offered throughout the season at various days and times at Maiben House in Burlington. Commit to capture the beauty of the season by increasing your skills this year.
B'town Fall Fest
Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25
Join us at Skagit River Park for B'Town Fall Fest, taking place the weekend of September 24 and 25. We've got a lot in store for this year's festival coming up next month!
One of the brand new events happening at B'Town Fall Fest this year is our PupKin 5K Fun Run!! Start dreaming up a costume for the favorite pup in your life and get ready for the ultimate mash-up: Dogs in Costumes AND a 5K (the best of both worlds)! Registration will open soon for the PupKin 5K, which will be on day two of the festival, on Sunday, September 25. There'll be events happening all weekend long, so mark your calendar and plan to join us.
Bird Decoy Carving and Painting
Classes Begin Oct. 5 and Run Through Nov. 23
Adults and kids alike can learn how to carve and paint bird decoys this fall. Kurt Benson from the Washington Brant Foundation will be teaching an 8-week series of classes that will teach you how to hand carve a Red Head Duck. Classes will be held from 4-6pm on Wednesdays from 10/5-11/23 at Maiben House in Burlington. Register for this class an others in our Recreation Catalog online.
