Check out our Recreation Program Catalog for new classes offered in the coming weeks. Classes include: Bird Decoy Carving and Painting taught by Kurt Benson with the Washington Brant Foundation, and Beginner/Intermediate DSLR Photography taught by Andy Porter. Take advantage of the expertise of these talented instructors and sign up for one of their classes this season.
Kiwanis Egg Hunts in the Park
FREE Events on Saturday, April 16
Looking for an egg hunt this year? Kiwanis Egg Hunts are back! Join us at 10am on Saturday, April 16 at Maiben Park for the Kid's Egg Hunt. This FREE Egg Hunt starts right at 10am with the 0-3 age group going first, then immediately followed by ages 4-5 and 6-8.
If you've got teenagers in your life, make sure they know about the Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt. This event will take place at the Dike District Playfields the same evening, April 16 at 8:30pm. Meet-up will be at the Whitmarsh Picnic Shelter at 1720 E. Whitmarsh Road in Burlington. This event is also FREE and geared toward ages 14-18. Tell a teen in your life about the event so that they can join in the fun (Be sure to bring your own flashlight!).
Junior Skate Date with Mom
Sunday, May 1 at 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Moms and sons, get ready to roll! Burlington Parks and Rec is partnering with Skagit Skate to host our very first Junior Skate Date with Mom! This is a new event just for Moms and sons. We hope you join us for this fun night of skating. We'll have raffle prizes every half hour, glow sticks, a sweet treat from Avenue Catering and more. There will be a grand prize raffle just for Moms, too. Tickets are $12.50 per person, advanced registration ONLY. Register online here and we'll see you at the rink!
