Play the Teen Summer Reading Game. Complete challenges...earn points...pick your rewards from the prize catalog! Pick up a set of score cards at the library.

2014 SUMMER GAME

  1. Complete the challenges of your choice on your weekly Summer Game scorecard.
  2. Bring your scorecard to the library and trade it for points.
  3. Look over the catalog of prizes at the library's front desk. The catalog will be released on June 30.
  4. Come to the library during Summer Game Store hours and trade your (points) tickets for prizes. The store will open Monday, June 30.

     Summer Game Store Hours:
  • Mondays 6 - 8 p.m.
  • Tuesdays 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Wednesdays 1 - 3 p.m.

FALL 2014 PROGRAMS AND EVENTS:

Captain America: the Winter Soldier, Movie Matinee
Tuesday, September 23, 4 - 5:30 p.m.
Come and see the newest Captain America.
Popcorn, candy, and soda provided!

Teen Halloween Spectacular!
Monday, October 6, 2 - 4 p.m.

Join us as we scare up some fun making Halloween t-shirts
with bleach pens, putting on some spooky nail art, and watching
Warm Bodies, a dark, yet sweet zombie movie with a little
something for everyone. Halloweeny treats provided.

Monday, November 17, 3:30 - 5:15 p.m.

Come and experience the critically acclaimed Maleficent
starring Angelina Jolie. With its stunning graphics it's a must-see.
Edibles provided.

Teen Cutthroat Kitchen 
Wednesday, November 26, noon - 1:30 p.m.

Play the library's version of Cutthroat Kitchen for a change to win prizes.
Each team will be given 2,500 library "dollars" and a chance to spend
those dollars on themselves, or to sabotage the other teams--all while
attempting to build a gingerbread masterpiece!

Teen Murder Mystery Party
Monday, December 29, 2 - 4 p.m.

There's crime afoot! Someone has been murdered and we need your
help to untangle the mystery. Join us as we piece together the puzzle.

Volunteer @ your library
Burlington Public Library's Teen Advisory Group is a voice for teens in the library, 
helping to create a place where teens are welcomed and involved. 
Members plan and promote teen events, help choose teen library materials, 
earn PAWS credit, and eat pizza.
