The Burlington Fire Department is a full service combination Fire Department utilizing full-time and volunteer firefighters to staff and respond annually to approximately 1,800 calls for service. The Burlington Fire Department provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services for the City of Burlington directly and are in an auto aid agreement with the City of Mount Vernon.

The entire service area includes more than 16,000 residents in an area of approximately 32 square miles. The Fire Department structures it emergency services to meet the daily demands of our residents and the 45,000-60,000 daily visitors to the City of Burlington and the immediate area.
