Visual and Hearing Assistance Technology

  • Optelec CCTV (tabletop magnifier) for reading books, documents, and newspapers
  • Optelec compact magnifiers (2) (hand-held devices may be checked out for a one-week loan period)
  • Videophone (Dynex Led HDMI TV), ntouch PC provided by Sorenson Video Relay Service® (SVRS®)

Scanning and copying services

  • Printing services from public access computers is available at $0.15 per page (black & white and color). There is a coin-operated black & white photocopy machine. (Konica Minolta BizHubC360 located in Oasys copy center room)  
  • Wireless printing is possible for some laptops.  Install app here
  • Fax service (staff operated) - up to 5 pages as time allows.
  • Scan to email services (staff operated) - page limits within reason for file size and staff time.
  • Minolta RP603Z microfilm / fiche reader printer - $0.15 per page
  • Epson Perfection V500 Office scanner available for scanning of historical materials by staff. Please make an appointment and bring USB for saving files.
  • Large format A3 2400S Scanner - Panel V2.0 available for scanning of historical materials by staff.   Please make an appointment and bring USB for saving files.
  • New! MakerBot Replicator 3d printer

Equipment Available for Home Check Out and Use
  • Energy measurement device Kill-a-Watt provided by Skagit Public Utility District (PUD) available for check out with library card

Equipment Available for In-Library Check Out and Use
E-readers and tablet computers are available for in-library checkout. This service is primarily meant to provide you with the opportunity to test before you buy. E-books cannot be downloaded to the devices because they are specifically dedicated to individual accounts.  Must leave government issued ID with staff and understand loss liabilities at time of check out.
