The 24 horseshoe pits at the south end of Skagit River Park in Burlington represent one of the largest collections of horseshoe pits in the region.

State-wide and local tournaments are hosted annually at the Skagit River Park horseshoe pits. Pitchers from Canada and all over the west coast gather to play at the pits.

Horseshoe Pits - Use & Availability
The horseshoe pits can be reserved for use separately or jointly with the adjacent picnic shelter on a specific day and time, outside of use by the Skagit Valley Horseshoe Club. Unless reserved, the pits and adjacent shelter are available for use between 8 AM and sunset at no cost on a first-come first-serve basis.

Skagit Valley Horseshoe Club
  • Regular league play for the club takes place Tuesday evenings 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM from April to October. Newcomers are always welcome. 
    • Horseshoes are available on loan to newcomers during club play.
  • The Skagit Valley Horseshoe Club hosts tournaments twice yearly: April's Tulip Open and June's Strawberry Open. Both tournaments take place the second Saturday of the month.
