Spring Art Classes for Kids

What are speed lines and how are they used?

"Manga and Anime Drawing" 

Building on this popular art form, students draw and ink their own versions of subject matter - from robots to heroes to creatures. Also: exploration of the use of comic strip panels, perspective, speed lines, and the understanding of light and shadow.

Day:             Tuesdays May 3, 10, 17, 24
Time:           4:00pm-6:00pm
Ages:          Girls & boys 8 - 13 yrs
Fee:            $45. All supplies 
                    provided by instructor.

"Colored Pencil Techniques" 

Hard and soft colored pencils offer more options for beginning artists than other mediums can. Plus, their texture and color range is extensive. Work on drawing skills, color blending, and illustration ideas in a journal you will keep.

Day:             Wednesdays May 4, 11, 18, 25
Time:           4:30pm-6:00pm
Ages:          Girls & boys 8 - 13 yrs
Fee:            $50 & $20 supply fee
