It’s no secret that we’re living in a weird time. Our regular routine is out the window and while that is hard, this is also the perfect moment to reflect and try new things. Just like so many of you, Burlington Public Library is doing things a bit differently this summer.
CREATE, DISCOVER, AND REFLECT: 10 WAYS TO BEAT BOREDOM ALL SUMMER LONG
In this guide you’ll find 10 challenges that will keep you thinking and creating this summer around the theme, “Imagine your story.” Challenges can be done in any order, at any time throughout the summer. Some materials you will need are included, but you will also need some regular household items.
After completing any activity you can visit the Teen page on the BPL website and share your thoughts. Submissions will be entered into prize raffles all summer long AND entered into the Grand Prize Raffle for a Kindle Fire tablet!
Entries must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
THINGS TO KNOW THIS SUMMER
Challenge guides and free books (to keep!) will be available at the library and community sites in Burlington throughout the summer (books available while supplies last).
Weekly virtual events are happening every Tuesday from 3-4 pm. These events are a chance to hang out, play games, and share your passions with other teens. Registration is required to receive Zoom links.
Wi-Fi is available outside the library building 24/7.
The library building may be closed through Phase 2 but we are still here for you! Email Teen Services Librarian Jenny if you need help finding books to read, things to do, or just want to chat:firstname.lastname@example.org.
